“Launched in October of 2015 by the White House, Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.” -ems.gov More information can be found at www.bleedingcontrol.org
Why is it important?
The Stop the Bleed course is a two hour course that teaches civilians the skills and tools necessary to stop life threatening bleeding. In chaos anyone can be a lifesaver, make sure you are prepared for the worst! It can take a minimum of three minutes for someone to bleed out and die, this course will prepare you to know what to do to save that life!
